Islam versus Europe

There were a couple of interesting reports about crime in Switzerland today. The first was about youth crime in Zurich. According to the report, almost half of the youths convicted of crimes last year in Zurich were foreigners. Unfortunately, no further differentiation of the foreigners was made but I think that we can assume a fair number of them were of the Mohammedan persuasion.

More detail is available in the annual report of Champ-Dollon prison, in the Geneva canton. Here the quotient is even higher. Perhaps its proximity to France and Belgium and its language makes the French-speaking part of Switzerland more attractive to Mohammedans originating in North Africa.

In total 93% of the prisoners in this prison were foreigners and 55% were Muslims. 36.8% of the prisoners had an African nationality and 6.2% had a Middle Eastern nationality.
